LAP CAULK

Description:
One-part Elastomeric Sealant. RPI Lap Caulk is a one-part, solvent release type sealant possessing excellent resistance to weathering. This sealant is especially formulated as a tough, weather resistant sealant.

Physical Characteristics:

  1. One-part, elastomeric caulking/adhesive sealant.
  2. Excellent resistance to ozone, ultraviolet and general weathering.
  3. Excellent low temperature resistance (O.K. @ -65°F)
  4. Good adhesion to metals, wood, concrete, and glass. Good adhesion to EPDM and Butyl Rubber sheeting.
  5. Good water resistance (virtually no change after 14 days immersion in fresh water at 158°F).
  6. Slump resistance good-designed for extrusion.
  7. Service temperature: -65°F - 212°F.

Surface Preparation:
Surfaces to be sealed must be dry and free from dust, oil, water, and other contaminants using Heptane, Hexacleen, or Hexaprene.

Application Instructions:
Sealer is to be gun applied. Do not feather or smooth bead.

Post Application Clean-Up:
Toulene or Xylene are excellent for post application clean-up.
